First commercial boat to use the Nauti-Craft suspension system
Nauti-Craft Pty Ltd is delighted to announce that a new agreement has been signed with Offcon GmbH and Wallaby Boats GmbH, a longtime partner and ship operator, designer and boat building group based in Germany.
This decision gives Offcon and Wallaby the first right of refusal to the worldwide exclusivity of patented nauti-craft ⢠marine suspension technology for the range of boats under their license. This means the Offcon and Wallaby investors now have security around the license, and therefore the funding to build the first Wallaby boat.
Nauti-Craft’s revolutionary technology was put to the test in rough seas at Dunsborough in South Western Australia in 2015. Soon after, Harald Hübner and Steffen Staudenmaier of Wallaby Boats GmbH gave it a try on the Nauti-Craft “2 Play” demonstrator A single test was enough!
Harald and Steffen were on board with the technology. The performance of Nauti-Craft’s 8.5m boat allowed them to strike head first in choppy waves of 1.2m at over 30 knots effortlessly.
Wallaby Boats GmbH will be the first original equipment manufacturer in the world to produce commercial boats using the Nauti-Craft suspension system with the exclusive rights of the Nauti-Craft patent. The agreement accelerates production of the first Wallaby boats and ensures further progress with the planned production of a full line of small commercial boats. These include high performance daughter boats, crew transfer vessels, pilot boats and small work boats.
The Wallaby-18 is produced in Germany and composite parts are produced for the Wallaby-16 and Wallaby-14 by Tuco Marine of FÃ¥borg, Denmark.
