Samskip shipping company to transfer part of its fleet to biofuel bunkers

Global multimodal logistics company Samskip is about to start using biofuels in part of its fleet.
In partnership with the Good Shipping initiative, Samskip uses biofuels on board its 800 TEU container ship the Samskip Endeavor on his most recent trips, he said in an emailed statement Thursday.
The Samskip Endeavor was originally involved in a biofuel trial two years ago.
The company now plans to “rapidly expand the use of biofuels on more of its ships this year,” he said.
